Troubleshooting Newsletter Registration¶
My newsletter verification system protects against automated sign-ups while keeping the process simple for real users. The security check typically completes automatically without requiring any action from you.
This process is normal and protects: - Your email from being added to lists without permission - My newsletter distribution by preventing bot subscriptions
Most registration issues resolve quickly with these troubleshooting steps.
The verification system is based on Cloudflare Turnstile. This is a CAPTCHA-free, user-friendly way to protect websites.
Quick Fixes to Try First¶
Refresh and retry - Sometimes a simple page refresh resolves temporary loading issues.
Check your internet connection - Ensure you have a stable connection before attempting registration.
Try a different browser - If one browser isn't working, test with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
JavaScript-Related Issues¶
My verification system requires JavaScript to function properly. If you're experiencing problems, JavaScript may be disabled or blocked.
Enable JavaScript in Your Browser¶
Chrome: 1. Click the three dots menu → Settings 2. Go to Privacy and Security → Site Settings 3. Click JavaScript and ensure "Sites can use Javascript" is enabled
Firefox:
1. Type about:config
in the address bar
2. Search for javascript.enabled
3. Ensure the value is set to true

Script Conflicts and Ad Blockers¶
Browser extensions can interfere with our verification system.
Temporarily disable ad blockers like uBlock Origin, AdBlock Plus, or similar extensions for our website.
Disable privacy extensions temporarily, including Ghostery, Privacy Badger, or strict tracking protection.
Try incognito/private browsing mode to test without extensions active.

Network and Connectivity Issues¶

If you're on a workplace or educational network, IT policies might block our verification system.
Try from a different network like your mobile data or home WiFi.

VPN and Proxy Services¶
Temporarily disable VPN services that might interfere with verification.
Switch VPN server locations if you must use a VPN.
Avoid public proxies which are often flagged by security systems.
